Pacific Cannery Lofts & Ironhorse at Central Station
Architect: David Baker + Partners Architects
Photographer: Brian Rose
Please join AIA East Bay on Saturday, May 12, as we tour two new multi-family housing dwellings by David Baker + Partners Architects. Project Manager Kevin Wilcock, the project manager, leads a tour of the Pacific Cannery Lofts and Greenpoint-rated Ironhorse at Central Station.
Located at the edge of the emerging Central Station neighborhood of West Oakland, Pacific Cannery Lofts is an adaptive re-use of a historic cannery as a diverse collection of studios, flats and loft townhouses around three open-air courts.
Affordable housing, Ironhorse at Central Station earned 146 Green Points. The green features include: vegetated “green roofs,” solar-domestic hot water, photo-voltaic arrays, certified CRI Green Label Plus carpets, outdoor furniture made of recycled-material composite lumber, landscape irrigation control that receives weather data via a satellite connection, high-efficiency drip-irrigation system, two vegetated swales, and urban agriculture garden plots for residents.
Please register in advance as there is a space limit.
Registrants will be emailed meeting location on Friday, May 11.
