Revit for Small Practices and Projects – One User’s Experience
Michael Ogrinc Design adopted Revit at its inception two years ago. As a very small – one person – firm, Michael Ogrinc Design did not have many of the resources that large firms traditionally bring to the process of Revitization. This presentation will discuss a Revit/BIM adoption approach that has allowed for quick adoption without wreaking havoc on the project’s billable hours, schedule, and quality of deliverables. In addition, Michael will discuss the unexpected competitive advantages to using Revit that he has discovered along the way, as well as some of the ongoing challenges.

Who should attend: Project Managers, Designers, Architects, and other professional staff in small firms that are in the process of adopting Revit or are considering adopting Revit.

About the presenter: Michael Ogrinc – IIDA, Principal (and everything else as well) founded the firm two years ago upon completing with distinction the certificate program in Interior Design at UC Berkeley Extension. He comes to design following a 30 year engineering career in electronics engineering. During that time, electronics design underwent several revolutionary changes. Having worked throughout that era, Mike brings a unique perspective to the changes now rippling through the design world. Regarding design, his approach is simply ‘no one should live or work in a poorly designed environment, ’and that includes the CAD environment as well.
