Urban Matters and NOMADgardens

Thursday, August 9
6 – 7:30pm
Women In Architecture

Stephanie Houston, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Urban Matters, and Katie Crepeau, Co-Founder and Project Director of Urban Matters, will present on Urban Matters and NOMADgardens.  Urban Matters is a small design lab that provides creative design solutions for activation of interior and exterior spaces through strategic stakeholder alignments and keen building process knowledge. NOMADgardens is the design lab’s current project, activating vacant lots with gardens, events and workshops for neighborhood use to help Mission Bay residents (gardeners, artists and social butterflies) grow their own food near their homes, have a place to informally meet, learn and gather with neighbors, and improve the residential feeling of Mission Bay through a nomadic transportable raised bed system.
