The Regional Design for Aging Committee continues their tour of local senior housing facilities in February.

Located near San Francisco’s Civic Center and the Western Addition this affordable housing building of 100 senior apartments is one of the last projects of the former SFRA.  It is on the former Central Freeway Site ‘C’ parcel and is a senior campus building with Parkview Terraces (former Freeway Site ‘A’) on Turk Street.

Due to the move-in of residents and the need to minimize inconvenience to them the tour is limited to 20 participants.

Learning Objectives:
1.            Learn about the objectives of providing affordable senior housing in San Francisco.
2.            Learn the elements that create a nurturing and supportive environment for seniors.
3.            Review of the specific design features and challenges.
4.            Discuss the construction and delivery approach.
