Berkeley Design Advocates will be hosting a second design charrette for Telegraph Avenue

Friday, September 27, and Saturday, September 28, 2013

Berkeley Design Advocates will be hosting a second design charrette for Telegraph Avenue. Building on knowledge gleaned from BDA’s first charrette, we will further explore design and development opportunities at two specific locations:

a southern gateway from Dwight to Blake, and a northern gateway from Bancroft to Durant.

Our goal is to develop concepts that will serve as a catalyst for revitalization through public improvements and private development projects.

The charrette will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 2nd floor at 2407 Dana Street, Berkeley.

Planning and design professionals, and key stakeholders, are invited to participate in all stages of the event.  Members of the public and all interested stakeholders are invited to the two community forums (that will be hosted Friday evening and Saturday afternoon).

If you are a planning or design professional, property owner or student who wants to participate, please express your initial interest by emailing Phil Henry ( by July 15. Please put “Telegraph Charrette ’’ in the subject line of your response.

If you are a key stakeholder, a member of BDA will be contacting you to schedule an interview so we can get your perspective prior to the charrette, and to see if you’d like to participate.

Please join us.

Thank you.
