Life Cycle Costing with Thin Tile Systems & Training Center Tour
This comprehensive program brings together the many elements of a large-format tile project. Attendees will gain an understanding of the basic concepts of Life Cycle Costing (LCC) and the benefits of an LCC analysis, as well as the fundamentals of LCC methodology as developed by the National Institute of Science and Technology. The presentation will address how monetary and non-monetary criteria can be combined to develop a cost-to-benefit ratio to demonstrate the best investment fit for project owners.
The evolution of porcelain tile has changed dramatically: technology, formats and application usage. The program provides information required to successfully specify Thin Porcelain Tile as a material finish. This course offers participants detailed information on the current codes and regulations, and it examines environmental impacts related to sustainability and occupant health.
With specific attention to floor flatness, the large-format tile and stone presentation covers surface preparation, substrate deflection, installation procedures and grouting issues. Learn where large tile and stone should be specified, and how well it will perform.
The seminar includes a training facility tour with mockup review, and concludes with a demonstration of the proper installation of large-format thin porcelain tile.
Presented by the Tile & Stone Council of Northern California in partnership with the International Masonry Institute, Crossville Tile Inc and Custom Building Products.
