Peter Tonner, the chapter’s current program coordinator, will be leaving us for a great opportunity at Apple to improve its mapping program. Many of you have met Peter in the past eight months, talked to him by phone, or attended an event that he helped to organize.
After he moved to the Bay Area from Glasgow, Scotland in 2014, Peter joined us as an intern in August. He quickly proved himself to be proactive, engaged, and highly skilled, and I was happy when he agreed to stay on as our program coordinator. However, with his background in transportation planning and environmental and energy management, it was understood that he’d be moving on to a position more suited to his career field.
Apple is going to benefit from his strong abilities and outgoingness, and I wish him all the luck in his new position!
