The September monthly program will be a joint program hosted by the Northern California Community of Practice for the Lean Construction Institute ( Nor Cal COP LCI) and The American Institute of Architects, East Bay to engage the AEC community in sharing knowledge about lean design and construction as a project-based production system. The program will be a moderated panel of owners who are engaging design and construction team to work utilizing lean construction tools and techniques.
Panelists will present the benefits of projects using lean design and construction techniques on projects ranging from small renovation and large construction projects. The benefits can be in the form of reduced budget and schedule but also in improved quality, process and collaboration. Panelists will describe their experiences and their goals in their lean journeys.
By the end of this program, attendees will:

- Be able to identify two best practices in building collaborative delivery teams.
- Be able to differentiate between models for building collaborative delivery teams based on owner procurement requirements
- Be able to define value and commonly used methods to maximize it.
