I know I’ve talked about this before, but it’s again time for the greatest grown-up/kid event/show on earth, Maker Faire Bay Area.  If you like to make things, or just like to see what others have made, you need to go.

What is it:  Maker Faire is a science fair, a county fair, a tech fair and a whole lot more. It’s where people of all ages from all walks of life come together to show what they’ve done and to learn from others.  You will constantly be amazed at the innovation and artistic design you will see there.

When & Where is it, and What Does it Cost: It will be held May 20-22 at the San Mateo Event Center. Tickets are $30-$45 for adults, $20-$30 for children 4-17, and children 3 and under are free.

This year 99 Maker Faires are being held in locations around the world.  Fortunately for us Maker Faire Bay Area is the largest and oldest one (this is the 11th).

Conclusion:  If you’re curious, enjoy learning and just like to have fun, come to Maker Faire you’ll be amazed at what you find.  It’s a big show so go early and bring a child (and the child in you).
