Designing and documenting addition and alteration projects with Vectorworks will be the focus of our presentation and discussions on September 13th. We’ll go over setting up project documents to accomplish this effectively, developing existing and proposed plans, sections and elevations, alternatives and shadow studies.

Plus, with the imminent release of Vectorworks 2017, we will let you know as best we can, some of what you might expect and how to prepare for it.

About the Speakers:

Peter Thayer, architect at OAG Architects Inc., has been using Vectorworks/MiniCAD software for over 15 years, providing residential architectural services with his firm in Benicia.

Paul Majka, Principal, Paul Majka Architect Inc., is a seasoned professional in Architecture with about ten years of experience with Vectorworks, and is currently running an architectural practice in San Francisco.

Learning Objectives:

After completing this program participants will be able to…

  1. Know how to set up project files that facilitate the design and documentation of addition and alteration projects.
  2. Demonstrate how to separately display and indicate existing and new work.
  3. See at least two ways how alternative schemes might be studied and documented.
  4. Learn how to create shadow studies to satisfy local building regulations.
