At our first meeting of 2018, several from our group will share how their practices organize and structure Vectorworks document files.  We will be reviewing and discussing a variety of layer and classing systems, document templates, resource organizations, work spaces, and the like.

About the Presenters:

Peter Thayer (Architect, OAG Architects Inc.) has been using Vectorworks/MiniCAD software for over 20 years, providing residential architectural services with his firm in Benicia.

Paul Majka (Principal, Paul Majka Architect Inc.) is a seasoned professional in Architecture with about 15 years of experience with Vectorworks, and is currently running an architectural practice in San Francisco.

  2. Understand how to structure template files to maintain consistency and optimize efficient design and documentation.
  3. See how others have customized their workspaces, and set-up saved views to enhance efficiency.
  4. Learn about different systems for organizing resources to speed location and selection.
