An up-and-coming San Francisco based architecture firm is seeking a licensed senior project architect / project manager with 6+ years of solid experience, working on Type I construction projects. MUST BE REVIT CAPABLE.

Reporting directly to the principals, this position consists of direct day-to-day management of projects, design and production. This position requires someone with good client interaction skills, a demonstrated ability to manage internal and external project teams on critical schedules, as well as strong time management and communication skills.  Serious inquiries only, this position requires candidates with:

  • 6+ years experience, including at least 3+ years verifiable experience as a project architect or project manager on large scale projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building systems, constructability, detailing and how to properly document these items within well-coordinated construction documents.  We will request that candidates bring examples of their work (that they were responsible for) to interviews.

The office has a fun & relaxed atmosphere (until deadline time!). We are currently in West Berkeley, but are putting the finishing touches on our new office in West Oakland. Our projects include new construction and renovation of affordable housing, private homes, office, retail, mixed-use and community space.

Qualifications:

- Minimum B.A. in Architecture, Master of Architecture preferred – License-track or Licensed in the State of California – Minimum 5 years of overall project experience including design, construction documents and construction administration, including a minimum of 2 years of project management experience. – LEED AP preferred – Work experience including multi-family residential renovation projects including experience with Type I/II & V construction is preferred. – Candidates must exhibit a passion for design, initiative and strong collaborative abilities. – We are looking for a motivated self-starter capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good design, organizational, and social skills required. Free-hand drawing ability a plus. Revit experience preferred.
