We’re looking for a Job Captain/Project Architect with the following qualities:

  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Eagerness to take initiative coupled with desire to work collaboratively
  • Love of design and commitment to doing high-quality work
  • Willingness to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3-D modeling programs
  • Experience with CBC, CRC, ADA and zoning codes
  • LEED-accredited and/or knowledge of sustainability a plus

Why work here?  You would have the opportunity to do all parts of a project from design through permitting and construction administration, experience a close working relationship with clients, and work collaboratively with consultants and builders.  Few small firms offer the wide range of projects we’re fortunate to have.  Right away you would be helping design a high-end modernist townhouse addition in San Francisco, detail and manage a Maybeck-inspired Berkeley renovation, and shape the interior of a new Ethiopian restaurant, among other work on the boards.

Flexible work arrangements can include part-time work, varied hours, and work from home.  We enjoy our work, value our clients, and strive for the best!  And did I mention that we’re located just behind a fabulous Hungarian bakery?
