Junior Designer, 0-3 years experience
Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc. seeks a full-time junior designer with up to 3 years of professional experience. Group 4 utilizes a unique team-oriented approach to architecture, interior design and planning projects that integrates architects, planners, users and clients into the design process; this approach produces a diverse portfolio of vital facilities that reflect the unique attributes of their communities. Within the office, we work in a collaborative, studio-driven environment. Our junior designers are an integral part of our project teams, regularly participating in client meetings, multidisciplinary consultant charrettes, and community engagement activities throughout the project life cycle. Requirements for this position include a degree from an accredited architecture program and up to three years of experience as a junior designer on non-residential projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Familiarity with 3D/BIM modeling platforms including Revit and Sketchup
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite and hand sketching graphic skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Collaborative outlook and the ability to work effectively within a studio environment
- Ability to complete project-specific tasks including BIM modeling, detail development, and building systems research
