Description

Studio KDA is an award-winning, 23-person design firm specializing in multi-family housing, retail and restaurant design.  We are known for engaging, thoughtful design, high level of service to our clients and a very enjoyable and supportive work environment.

We are seeking an intern architect who is passionate about design and who wants to contribute to the success of a project as well as the firm. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly generate design options as well as translate principals’ and design managers’ visions into 3D models. They also should have a good eye for proportions and composition and have strong skills in creating graphic presentations. The Ideal candidates are well organized, technically savvy, and good communicators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture
  • 3-8 years professional experience.
  • Revit proficient.
  • Multi-family experience in Type V and Type III construction.
  • Ability to author and develop architectural design and conceptual studies.
  • Ability to work independently developing a project in plans, elevations, and section.
  • Familiarity with building codes, entitlements processes, and zoning research.
  • Experience coordinating consultants, creating working drawings, and on site Construction Administration.
