Studio KDA is an award-winning, 23-person design firm specializing in multi-family housing, retail and restaurant design.  We are known for engaging, thoughtful design, high level of service to our clients and a highly enjoyable and supportive work environment.

We are seeking an senior designer / project architect who is passionate about design, experienced in efficient project delivery, continuously learning about new building technologies and wants to grow into a leadership role in the firm.

This position requires experience in construction administration on commercial or multifamily projects and ability to manage several projects at once.

Required Skills:

  • Strong design and detailing skills
  • Proven use of technology
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • Technical expertise in Type V and Type III buildings
  • Sound working knowledge of all major building systems
  • Ability to effectively delegate, manage and motivate a project team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Other qualifications:

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture and (preferred) licensure in California.  Proficiency in Revit is required as is a solid understanding of sustainable building principles. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
