AIA East Bay holds elections once every year for open Board positions. Board members serve two year terms and when members terms are up they must be elected again. We strongly encourage all members to consider serving as a Director, all are welcome! This is an opportunity for you to help steer our great organization and help the East Bay Architectural Community flourish.
We ask that members submit nominations for themselves, or others during the nomination period from October 11th through November 8th. Voting begins on Nov. 15th and lasts until December 6th culminating with the announcement of our newly elected Board members at our annual Member Appreciation Party.
All AIA East Bay members are eligible to vote. Board members serve two-year terms; the next board will serve from January 2020 through January 2022.
All persons interested in serving on the board (or wishing to nominate someone) must fill out the nomination form which includes a brief candidate’s statement (150 words) a link to their LinkedIn profile.
We will provide AIA East Bay members with three options to vote:
- Email by downloading the ballot and emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line”Election”
- Mail/ Hand deliver to: 1405 Clay Street, Oakland, CA 94612
After voting closes, the votes are tallied from online, email and paper submissions and announced later in the evening at the event, and via our website and email list.
