RFQ for On-Call Planning Service, City of Oakland

Project Description:  The Planning and Building Department (“Department”) of the City of Oakland assists in guiding the physical development of Oakland by protecting and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of the public.  Within the Department, the Bureau of Planning prepares long-range land use plans and policies, reviews applications for development permits, and oversees the City’s environmental review process.

The Department is seeking to establish on-call contracts with professionals providing miscellaneous ad hoc planning-related services to the Bureau of Planning on an as-needed basis.  These services are intended to augment the services provided by City staff and include work not normally performed by Department staff.

This RFQ was previously advertised in May 2016.  The RFQ is being re-advertised.  The re-advertised RFQ contains the same requested services as the previous RFQ.

Those who submitted proposals on the previous On-call Planning Services RFQ are still under consideration and vendors may either opt to submit another proposal or allow the current proposal to stand.

Proposal Submittal Deadline:  Friday, September 23, 2016, 2:00 p.m.  Six (6) hard copies of the proposal must arrive at the Contracts and Compliance Division, 250 Frank Ogawa Plaza, 3rd Floor, Suite 3341, Oakland, CA. 94612 by 2:00 p.m. Proposals not received at the above location by the Proposal Submittal Deadline are late and will be returned to proposers unopened.

RFQ: Aeronautics and Workforce Development Building Project


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Solano Community College District (District) is soliciting a Statement of Qualifications/Proposal (SOQP) for the Aeronautics and Workforce Development Building Project for the Fairfield Campus, located at Nut Tree Road, Vacaville, CA. RFQ: Napa Earthquake Repairs, Napa State Hospital

BUILDINGS 147, 181 AND 183
Provide professional architectural and engineering design services as required to make seismic repairs to three buildings located at Napa State Hospital. Building 147 (Electric Shop), Building 181 (Manor House) and Building 183 (Central Nursing Services) were damaged in the 2014 South Napa Earthquake. All three buildings are considered historic. The responsible party shall be an architect or engineer licensed to practice in the State of California (CA) and all work shall be performed under and approved by a licensed design professional.

The estimated cost of construction for the project is $4,600,000.
