14th Biennial BDA Design Awards

Berkeley Design Advocates (BDA) is a community organization of architects, landscape architects, planners, builders and design professionals established in 1973 to promote excellence in the built environment of Berkeley and focuses on encouraging and celebrating great building and civic design in Berkeley. As part of that mission, BDA is accepting applications for the 14th Biennial BDA Design Awards.

Over the last 28 years, BDA has honored the best in built project to encourage better design and ultimately a better environment throughout the city. Projects can be buildings, street designs, landscape projects – any change in the built environment that makes a positive contribution to the urban fabric.

The Berkeley Design Advocates Design Awards Program acknowledges excellence in urban planning and architecture, innovative and creative design solutions, and preservation of historic structures and places.

The BDA Design Awards jury will consider applications submitted from design professionals, owners, and builders for building projects, renovation and restoration works, and urban design plans completed within the period from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020 in the City of Berkeley. Projects that exemplify the best in architecture, landscape architecture, preservation and planning will be selected by the jury for an award. The deadline to submit a project is February 12, 2021
