Architectural Requirements for Large Doors

Designing for large openings can present some unique challenges.  As architectural styles continue to incorporate expansive glass assemblies and more seamless indoor/outdoor living spaces, utilizing large doors has become a common component in today’s design requirements.​

This presentation will review a variety of door types that can be used in large openings: sliding doors, hinged doors and pivot doors.  We will review different configurations and key attributes of each door type.​ At the conclusion of the presentation we will be joined by a Loewen product specialist who will address any specific design dilemmas you may have. Therefore, we encourage you to send in your questions in advance so that we may be able to provide solutions and guidance for your specific project.
