Online COTE Meeting
Join us for a virtual Committee on the Environment meeting this Thursday from 6 – 8 pm.
The web conference link can be found here.
AGENDA:
The below is how we left things last time on 2/27…seems like quite a while ago now! Find the Google Doc here.
Please review so that we might nail down some solid dates for events/presentations etc. in the near future and beyond. Of course with special preference toward events that might be suitable for online only.
- Induction cooking night at Friedman’s home appliance in Concord
- Champion: Cate
When: Confirm date. Currently, no events scheduled for July and August.
- All electric ADU and home tour
- For the all-electric tour, Cate has accumulated a list of all electric homes for a tour as part of the Oakland Getting to Zero Summit last fall that never happened. I think it would be a great starting point for a tour in May.
- Champion: Cate
- When: Confirm date in May. Should this be a Saturday event?
- Designing for resilience in the east bay: sea levels rise, power outages, and fire. This will be a joint event with RUD committee. Possibly, two week-to-week sessions on:
- Thursday 5/21
- Champion: Ben
- When: Thursday 5/28
- Jason Grant on Forest Carbon, Stewardship and Mass Timber construction
See Report by Sierra Club
- Champion: Susi
- When: June 25
- Update on AIA COTE national and Architecture 2030 initiatives – Henry offered to give an update about what AIA CA COTE is doing.
- Kira Gould suggested a joint event with SF COTE. Could have Marsha Maytum and Kira on AIA COTE national (both on AG this year), and Gwen Fuertes on the 2030 Working Group (national, she’s co-chair this year).
- Champion: Henry
