About this Event
The architecture profession continues to evolve every day; part of that evolution is to increase our awareness of gender inclusiveness. It is projected that millennials will make up 60% of the workforce by 2025, are twice as likely to identify as LGBTQ+ and more likely to identify as gender fluid or non-binary than previous generations. As more individuals come out as transgender or gender diverse, many seek to understand what this means and how this may shape our society, including our workplaces. Join us for this engaging workshop where we will explore fundamentals and questions such as:
- What is gender diversity?
- What does transgender mean?
- How do I appropriately interact with trans and gender diverse individuals?
- What are gender neutral pronouns? And how do I use them?
