This is Day 1 of the ongoing Live ADA Day we are hosting. The ADA Day takes place on March 1, 2 and 3 – all starting at 12pm – 1:40 pm.
The AIA East Bay Chapter will be presenting an online version of their popular “ADA Day” seminar designed to provide the five hours of disability access training credits necessary for California Architects to renew their state licenses. The course will once again be taught by Steven R Winkel, FAIA, PE, CASp of The Preview Group, Inc. Steve has taught this course for the chapter for many years. He is a California Licensed Architect, Certified Access Specialist and Registered Civil Engineer. He served as the Architect Commissioner on the California Building Standards Commission for 19 years until his retirement at the end of 2019. His firm provides accessibility and building code consulting for architects and project owners throughout the United States.
The days will divided into 3 days, one hour and forty minute segments. Sessions will cover AIA CES Health Safety and Welfare credit and California Architect’s Board disability access training credits – which will apply to the CAB requirements of 5 hours of training every two years.
Registrants will receive the Zoom link a hour prior to the event. Additionally, all registrants will receive an email (after each session) of the recorded event + the slides for that day. Digital certificates will be sent out after registrants attend all 3 days of the ADA session. Registrants who type in their AIA number at checkout will receive 5 LU | HSW AIA credits.
