Outline Specs Show & Tell

What are the specs on your specs?

Let’s explore the different ways of doing outline specs or other creative ways of documenting material selections for smaller projects where formal 3-part CSI specs are too much.

It’s a show and tell format. Bring a sample section from your outline specs, schedule or digital material board or other document you use to keep track of material selections on smaller projects. If you do short form spec sections, bring general conditions and doors and we’ll compare.

What works well about your approach? What could be improved? What material selection / documentation problems have you encountered on your projects?

We’ll discuss different approaches to material specifications and share lessons learned.
