Geared toward students and young architects, this event will feature a brief presentation from 3-4 architects in different stages of their career followed by questions and answers from the audience.

About Your Panelists
Rob Zirkle, AIA | Founder & CEO at Brick.
Rob Zirkle founding principal at Brick, brings a strong record of successful and recognized design excellence to a wide variety of project types in both architecture, interiors, and urban design.
Having studied under noted Pritzker prize-winning architect Glen Murcutt, Rob brings a sensitivity to the details of design that make memorable architecture transcend the everyday. Through the benefit of two prestigious traveling fellowships in architecture, Rob’s extensive travels bring a well-rounded, global perspective to how urban design and architecture shape our cities’ spaces of social and cultural exchange.
Jaime Matheron, AIA, LEED AP | Principal / Senior Architect at DAHLIN
Jaime is a licensed architect and Principal at DAHLIN. Born and raised in the East Bay, she has always been passionate about the charm of the Bay Area. With an expertise in residential design, she is equally adept at leading teams in serving the goals and needs of established, experienced homebuilders as she is at coaching emerging builders for success.
A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she initially began her career designing K-12 educational architecture. As an active member of AIA, she became co-chair of AIA East Bay’s Young Architects/Emerging Professionals Committee in 2021, was elected to the AIA East Bay Board of Directors in 2022, and is currently the Board Secretary for 2023.
Marcia Adair, AIA, LEED GA | Architect & CEO at SUS AF
Marcia Adair has been a member of AIAEB since 2014. She finished in 8th place out of 400 competitors for the Bachelors Degree course in Architecture & Urban Planning at UFRN, Brazil. After graduating in 2012 with a Brazilian Architect’s license, she came to the US and started pursuing licensure in California. Subsequently, after working at a few firms in the San Francisco Bay area, Marcia obtained her CA Architect’s license in April 2022 and has recently opened her own architecture office: Sustainable Architecture Firm. Her Brazilian connections and attentive customer care have led her to obtaining a few commercial restaurant projects. Marcia’s love for sustainability keeps motivating her to improve and enrich her skills. Marcia is also an active volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, which developed in her getting her first architectural job in the US
Jackson Lindsay, Assoc. AIA | Project Manager at Design Draw Build
Jackson is a newly licensed architect and Project Manager at Oakland-based architecture + construction office Design Draw Build. His work focuses primarily on residential projects both single-family and multi-family.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Jackson moved to the East Bay in 2020 after graduating from the Yale School of Architecture. Through graduate school, he focused on the link between architecture and US housing policy and developed research and designs oriented around the commons and communal living.
