SFF: Annual Holiday Lunch (1.5 LU)
We are going to continue with our tradition, somewhat modified this year, of celebrating each other and our efforts in the past year, and setting our program foundations for the new year ahead.
It will be a program of stories, shared slides, thank you’s and layout work for the year ahead.
Since we will not be sitting at tables together, with beverages, we wanted to up the communal participation a bit to compensate.
Share something of your self or your work! 3-5 slides per person. AIAEB staff will assemble the slides, add name slides for each person, and share their screen for the show. You control the time spent on each slide.
All you have to do before hand is send the slides (digital files) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please title your email “SFF Slide Show”. And if you want your slides to be in a particular order, number them “1” being first slide. Please send them in no later than December 1.
Time permitting, we will open the floor to anyone who has a story to tell. What did you see or do or learn this year that put a smile on your face or warmth in your heart?
The Year Ahead:
As most of you know, our programs are managed by individual SFF members who volunteer to arrange a program for one month of the year. Linda, Rachel and Donald provide some assistance on the management tasks. Some people invite other industry professionals to present something of common interest. Some people bring in other industry professionals for a round table discussion. Some people bring a topic to the group and use the SFF members as the experts with experience worth sharing.
So we will again ask for volunteers for the months of 2021. January is already set.
Next year will probably be mostly virtual since the chapter is relocating its offices and facility access will be up in the air for most of the year.
Thanks again to all of you who have joined us or helped out this past year. We remain a place where architects working in small firms can find useful knowledge and fellowship.
