Ines Lejarraga is principal and founder of Lejarraga Studio where she blends art with architecture through material exploration and collaboration. Her firm’s work in installation art, furniture design, and lighting design serve as design studies that influence the larger work. Working closely with contractors, fabricators and artisans allows her practice to push the design forward by better understanding material possibilities and the talents of each craftsperson. Ms. Lejarraga’s 20 years of design experience in New York, Paris, and San Francisco includes high end residential, retail, office, and multifamily housing. Her continuing connection to academia through teaching allows her to integrate her research in design with her practice. She has taught at both UC Berkeley and California College of the Arts.
