CALGreen Embodied Carbon Proposal: Comment by Feb 1

The California Building Standards Commission will be considering a range of CALGreen code amendments during the 2022 Intervening Code Cycles. At the Code Advisory Committee meeting on February 8-9, they will consider a new set of embodied carbon requirements for buildings over 50,000 sq ft. The proposal sets three pathways for compliance based on building reuse, whole building LCA’s, or EPD’s for certain materials. More information is available on DGS’s website. A list of FAQ’s is available at this link.
