Cleaner Contra Costa

Sustainable Contra Costa is a nonprofit that works to educate residents on actions they can take to help the environment, especially in their daily lives and households. They do outreach in schools, businesses, and many other venues. The organization hopes to show residents how they can take action to fight climate change!

One of their major projects is the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge. The Challenge is an online tool that allows residents to create a profile and take Actions to reduce their energy and water usage. The Challenge also allows users to join Teams (up to 10 households) or Community Groups to come together and have a greater impact! The Spring/Summer Challenge is now underway, and it will go until August 31st.

For our community, kids, and collective futures, take action today for a healthier tomorrow. Get started by joining the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge! Since April 2019, over 650 households have already joined the Challenge. Together, we’ve reduced our carbon footprint by over 85 tons of CO2 emissions so far!

Join your neighbors as they make changes to save water and energy, reduce waste, and build community! Complete as many actions as possible to earn points for a chance to win prizes and be recognized for your efforts. Will you be part of the first 1,000 households committed to making our community more sustainable by August 31, 2020?
