Canyon Road Bridge House
Architecture Firm: Arkin Tilt
Perched on a wooded hillside overlooking Santa Fe and the distant Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the home both physically bridges across a restored dry arroyo and metaphorically bridges past and present: traditional pueblo features with high performance building systems; modern spaces with rich local materials.
Liberty Bank Building
Architecture Firm: Mithun
This project builds upon the legacy of Liberty Bank, the first African-American-owned bank in the Pacific Northwest established in response to redlining and disinvestment in Central Seattle. The design is inspired by Afrocentric design principles, the facade’s patterns and bold colors reflect the way individual stories form a collective expression.
Youth Spirit Artworks Tiny House Empowerment Village
Architects: University of San Francisco & Prof. Seth Wachtel
The tiny houses are each placed in quadrants, creating mini communities within the larger community. There are multiple shared community spaces at the Village, including our community Yurt, our Kitchen/Dining Yurt, and outdoor community spaces.
CHOKOLADEFABRIKKEN - THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
Architecture Firm: NSW Arkitektur
The Bergene Chocolate Factory has been transformed with a great diversity on many levels – a functional mix, a richness of forms, additions and extensions, a wide variety of material use supporting flexible and affordable housing. The new and the old appear with the desired contrasts.
