Project Architect
As one of the East Bay’s long tenured and leading architectural firms, murakami/Nelson is known for well-designed projects that enrich the urban fabric of our community. During our more than 60 years in Oakland we have developed a diverse practice encompassing civic buildings, K–12 schools, higher education, high-end retail, planning and tenant improvements.
To support the growth of our practice we are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team. We are interested in an individual who has a range of public sector experience from proposal writing through design, construction documents and construction and is interested in furthering their career on challenging projects. A full or part time position will be considered. Partial remote work is a possibility.

Qualifications:
· Licensed California Architect, minimum 7 years of experience
· Highly Skilled in AutoCAD, Proficient in Bluebeam
· Extensive experience with design, detailing, materials and methods of construction and building codes
· Excellent design, management and communication skills
· Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of projects
Revit, InDesign, Photoshop and Sketchup a Plus
LEED accredited a Plus
Experience with permitting through DSA a plus
Our office is located near Jack London Square, and is a short walk from the West Oakland BART station. Compensation is commensurate with experience. We offer healthcare, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays and a 401K plan.
