A TCA Project Architect interacts directly with teams organized around projects, managing clients, as well as internal personnel and external consultants. The Project Architect (PA) works directly with a Studio Director (SD) and Project Manager (PM) to direct a project team starting early in the schematic design process and continuing throughout the production of contract documents and into construction administration. In addition to the SD and PM, the PA will collaborate with designers, other project teams and various consultants, as well as our internal Quality Control team to efficiently deliver the design intent of the project. Tasks include code review, oversight and creation of the complete contract documents and specifications, including redlining drawings and specifications, agency processing, preparation of Additional Service Requests, coordination and management of consultants, and training and mentoring of the documentation team.

About TCA Oakland:
The Oakland studio is the newest addition to the TCA family. Opened in 2013, the Oakland team is led by TCA’s Founder Thom Cox and Radziah Loh our Principal In Charge. This dynamic group is tight-knit, efficient, and effective! Not only does this group regularly socialize outside of the office, they root for their Bay Area sports teams with a passion met by no one. The Oakland studio revels in the hip, up-and-coming East Bay scene and boasts views of the San Francisco skyline. The diverse culture of the Bay Area, seeps into the studio and is mirrored in the work the Oakland team produces. Their projects are transforming the Bay Area’s major cities including: San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, San Jose, South City, Mountain View, and more. And the best part? The 12th St. BART station is just outside the building, which means you can access any of the Bay Areas’ surrounding cities within minutes! Welcome to TCA-Oakland!
