Join LCI and AIA East Bay for a panel presentation on lean construction and impacts on design. They’ll provide an introduction to lean construction concepts, lean tools architects can use during design and present examples of large and small projects that use lean processes.

Panelists:
James Pease – Regional Manager, Sutter Health is a Regional Manager for Project Delivery for the Greater Sacramento Area at Sutter Health Facility and Property Services. He focuses on the delivery of complex capital projects using Lean and Integrated Project Delivery.

Patricia Tillman – Lean Project Manager, UCSF is a Senior Lean Manager for UCSF. She is an Architect with a Master’s degree and PhD in Construction Management. She has worked with the implementation and evaluation of lean methods for design and construction for more than 17 years.

Engel Ching, AIA – Project Architect, HGA is the lead project architect for the Sutter Van Ness and Geary MOB project, currently embedded with an integrated team of designers and contractors employing Lean to expedite the delivery of this 150,000 SF TI project.

Jill Bergman AIA – Principal, HDR is a Principal at HDR, and a leader in healthcare facility design. She is the Sutter Expedited Project Delivery Program, Command Center leader. She believes architectural design is a team sport; that hospitals are small magical cities; a short, well run meeting is a thing of beauty.
