New Executive Director at AIA-East Bay Chapter

We are thrilled to welcome Mike Wilson as our new Executive Director. Mike comes from a long history of leading organizations across a variety of sectors including Life Sciences, Building Performance, Financial Services and Energy Efficiency.

Prior to joining our organization Mr. Wilson led the International Building Performance Simulation  Association doubling the organizations membership and leading implementation of a new strategic plan.

Mike Wilson brings to the organization over 15 years of business management and consulting experience in both the private and not profit sectors; focusing on strategic planning and program management.  His clients include local and state educational institutions, research foundations, the federal government as well as many Fortune 500 companies.

Mike has also founded venture funded organizations focused on technology education in the for profit and non profit sectors. He is eager to bring his entrepreneurial experience and expertise to the AIA- East Bay.  Mike and his wife Barbara live in Oakland, California where they have raised their two children and been deeply involved in their community.

Wilson, grew up in Hawaii and currently resides in Oakland, CA. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS degree in Broadcast Communications and received his Master’s in Business Administration from St. Marys College, Moraga, CA.
