Volunteer Opportunity for Pleasant Hill Architectural Review Commission

Vacancy
The City of Pleasant Hill is looking to fill a vacancy on its Architectural Review Commission. The five-person Commission reviews site plans, architectural structures and signage primarily related to new development in Pleasant Hill. Candidates must have demonstrated talent in aesthetics and architectural design through training, education or occupation. Pleasant Hill residency is not required. The vacancy is for an approximate four-year term through May 2027. A stipend of $30.00 per meeting is provided.
Commission Meetings
Architectural Review Commission meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at City of Pleasant Hill City Hall, 100 Gregory Lane. Meetings stream live and are recorded.
Procedure
Applications with resumes are submitted online, and reviewed by the Interview and Nominating Committee (comprised of the Mayor and another Councilmember). Candidates to be considered are interviewed by the Committee, then a recommendation is forwarded by the Committee to the full City Council for final appointment.
