Tony Madrone is a sustainable water resource designer and analyst with extensive experience in on-site water reuse and landscape planning & construction.

Having designed/built/maintained a wide array of groundbreaking water management projects throughout Northern California, Tony carries the skills and understanding to address water challenges and design innovative & impactful solutions. With over 25 years of design/build experience, Tony recognizes the importance of ensuring all plans are easily buildable and can meet client’s construction budgets. Having won numerous grants for multiple water resilience programs throughout California, Tony is skilled at connecting stakeholders, envisioning programmatic impacts, and developing workflows and processes for effective program execution.

Tony has successfully managed multi-million-dollar programs encompassing hundreds of smaller projects, meeting grant requirements while creating long-term benefits for the participants, communities, and watersheds. Tony is a landscape contractor, water sense partner, EPA certified water auditor, and board member of California Onsite Water Association (COWA). With a passion for water conservation and sustainable business practices, Tony is dedicated to creating a healthier, and more astute approach to water resource use. Beyond sustainability solutions, Tony is passionate about backpacking, playing & writing music, gardening, alternative building, and spending time with his family.
