The course will cover the underlying ADA and Fair Housing Act requirements implanted in the California Building Code (the CBC). It will also cover the basics of Chapters 11A for adaptable housing and 11B for access to public accommodations and privately funded housing. The course will also cover the 7/1/21 Supplement to the 2019 CBC which made changes to site access for visually impaired persons and moved public housing adaptable unit requirements from CBC Chapter 11A into Chapter 11B. Those changes are also now incorporated into the new 2022 CBC.
