Whole Life Carbon – A Window Into The Full Impacts of Projects (1.5 LU|ZNCD)
The building industry need to decarbonize all aspects of building performance to help achieve global climate commitments. In order to do this projects need to look beyond just operational or embodied carbon to whole life carbon. By looking at whole life carbon, projects can understand the full impacts of design options and make decisions to drastically reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the key concepts in embodied and whole life carbon metrics.
- Describe international efforts to implement whole life carbon regulations.
- Explore how whole life carbon can transform project performance discussions.
- Apply whole life carbon analysis to case studies.
